The pandemic has shifted how we work. For many, a hybrid work environment is now the norm with some teams splitting their time between in-person and remote work, while others are completely remote. Although many of us have come to enjoy the flexibility these new hybrid and remote structures offer, they can also present challenges for how we effectively manage our workload and lead our teams.

Increasingly, organizations are feeling the pressure to produce more with less. This sense of constant "urgency" creates chaos, causing a loss in productivity and burnout. Couple this "urgency" with a lack of face-to-face interactions to build trust and a lack of clear boundaries between work life and home life, and you have a recipe for disaster. For managers the temptation to micro-manage can be overwhelming. However, doing so often only leads to one thing -- an unhappy, unhealthy, and unproductive team.

We invite you to join special guest Brandon Smith for a professional development and networking session focused on how to effectively work and manage in remote and hybrid environments.

Drawing from his books “The Hot Sauce Principle: How to Live and Lead in a World Where Everything Is Urgent All of the Time” and “The Author vs. Editor Dilemma: The Leadership Secret to Unlocking Your Team, Your Time and Your Impact.” Brandon will discuss when urgency is necessary and how you can apply it in just the right amount to bring out the best in your work and home life. Brandon will also discuss maximizing and managing our time as leaders, including tips on team structure, time management, delegation, and boundaries.
