Events Coordinator

As the only regional chamber in North Fulton, the Greater North Fulton Chamber (GNFCC) is here to serve the needs of our business members representing all six cities–Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Roswell, and Sandy Springs. Position Scope
The Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Chamber’s events as part of the event team that focuses on increasing attendance in addition to maximizing non-dues revenue through event sponsorships that provide maximum marketing exposure while also meeting the organization’s financial goals. This role will coordinate event details including logistics, onsite execution, and tracking effectiveness under the direction of events leadership.

The Events Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

▪ Coordination of Annual Events: GNFCC Spring Soiree & Golf Classic
▪ Coordination of bi-Monthly North Fulton Focus Series & monthly Business After Hours
▪ Coordination of BOLD Awards and Quarterly Events
▪ Coordinate event setup within CRM system and website, in tandem with marketing to fulfill event needs
▪ Solicit Business level member sponsors. Ensure event sponsorship obligations are fulfilled
▪ Coordination of programs and the various stages of event progress, e.g. event timelines, committee assignments and responsibilities, event details, execution of event, post event details, and financial tracking
▪ Fulfilling efficient and detailed program timelines to ensure successful program execution as directed by events leadership. Program timelines include such things as timeframes for sponsorship, marketing, production time, participant/speaker notice, event agenda, and event location.
▪ Coordinate event sponsorships to ensure they receive stated return on investment and are billed appropriately
▪ Work in tandem with events department to grow attendance at all events
▪ Ensure post event and program communications/thank you to event sponsors, partners, and participants
▪ Coordinate event volunteer involvement as needed, including assistance with placing and training volunteers, and ensuring volunteer efforts are recognized.
▪ Coordination of GNFCC events as assigned

Required:
▪ Must have prior or current event coordination experience
▪ Demonstrates sound judgment in deciding when to resolve challenges independently and when to escalate to leadership for support or decision-making.
▪ Able to recognize potential issues early and assess their impact on timelines, resources, or outcomes.
▪ Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
▪ Energized by interacting with people; great communications skills, exhibiting a positive and professional demeanor. ▪ Demonstrated dependability and reliability with respect to timeliness, attendance, follow-through, and ability to work independently and efficiently. 

Desired Skill:

Compensation
Compensation commensurate with qualifications & experience. The Chamber also provides a generous benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k) compensation program with employer matching. This position is in office and enjoys 20 paid holidays, and up to 15 days PTO with flexible schedule for team members to prioritize family commitments. The Greater North Fulton Chamber is located in the 10000 building at Avalon. Gated and dedicated employee parking is provided.
